Trick or Treat

I was so excited to pass out candy this year!  I had to work until 6:30pm so after work, I rushed home to hand out candy, but no one was coming to our door because we live down a really long drive way.  So if the kids weren't gonna come to me, I was going to go to the kids.  So I grabbed the side table, a tablecloth, my pumpkins and the candy and headed to the end of the driveway.  I set up shop hand had lots of kids come and give me the biggest ultimatum of all time... TRICK OR TREAT!

There was so many kids, that I ran out of candy fast, but it was really fun while it lasted.  After the candy was gone, Eriks and I put the pumpkins on the deck faceing in so we could enjoy them for one last night.  After that, we ordered a pizza, cuddled on the couch and watched a movie.  All in all, it was a great Halloween!

My favorite Halloween decoration this year

And last but not least, my little pumpkin :)

Pumpkinfest 2010

Every year, Marty and Inga have Pumpkinfest at their house.  It is a time for the family to get togerther, carve pumpkins and eat lots of delish food.  I was really excited because this year was my first year to attend Pumpkinfest.  Unfortunately Eriks was really sick and couldn't go, so I went with Indra and Ron.  We had so much fun!

I went as a Kitty Cat!

The first thing we did was a little socializing and then some pumpkin carving!

After pumpkin carving, it was time for din din.  Marty was awesome and got some dry ice to set the mood!

The awesome table decorations!

After dinner we all lazed around and watched some old movies and ate in some great desserts!

Marissa and Zach's Halloween Party

As you all know, Marissa and her husband always have the best parties ever!  They had the president over for a fundraiser for goodness sake!  Well we went to her annual Halloween party and it was a blast!  Me, Eriks, Aivars, Ron and Indra all went together this year.

The thing that I always check out first is the dessert table.  The desserts this year certainly did not disappoint.  There were candy covered apples, caramel covered apples, rice krispy treats, snickers on a stick, and some other pastry things all on top of some fabulous cakes.  (the tree house and the pumpkins are cakes!)

The Party was also catered.  All of the food was fabulous!  There was salad and bread, these pizza pie kind of things, there was ravioli, some green bean dish, and several types of chili.  It was all sooo good.  Along with the food and dessert table, there was also a cookie design studio and all of the candy you could eat and or take home.  I ate so much!  On top of all of that, there was also a full and open bar!

My favorite part of it all I would have to say were the decorations, they were just beautiful!

After eating to our fill, it was pumpkin carving time!  Zach and Marissa had set up a pumpkin patch so that everyone at the party could pick out a pumpkin to carve.

There was a pumpkin carving contest going on, so after you were done carving, you had to put it on the shelf to be judged with all of the other pumpkins.  Can you spot ours?

Not only did all of the guests carve pumpkins, but professional pumpkin carvers were flown in from Seattle to carve 1000lb pumpkins.  Of course I did not get a picture of those 2 pumpkins, but I did take a picture of the three 500lb pumpkins that she hired local art students come and carve.

On top of all of that, there was always a movie playing for people to watch.  During most of the party A Scooby Doo Halloween Movie and a Charlie Brown Halloween Movie played.  But, once 10pm hit, they played Halloween.  I only got about halfway through it before I got to tired and decided it was time to go home.

Eriks and I had so much fun!  We are so lucky to live where we do and to have such generous neighbors!
