Weekend in the Sierra Buttes

It had been such a long time since we went hiking, that we decided to go to the Sierra Buttes for the weekend.  We drove half way up after Eriks got off of work and just slept in the car.  In the morning I made us a "happy" breakfast!

After breakfast, we started on our journey.  It was really hot, so we decided to stop at this cute little place to get something to drink.

But, we found something really cool when we turned the corner.  There was a small petting zoo!  Ha!  It was great.  We got some quarters out of the car and bought some feed.  I had a lot of fun with the Llamas!

After goofing around for a while, and drinking our drinks (I had a chocolate milk, remember that...) Eriks and I went back on the road.  It wasn't too long before we came across this cute little waterfall.  I think that this is the funniest picture because if you look at Eriks' face, I snapped the picture right as he dipped his toe into the freezing water.

After a little more driving, we found the perfect place to take a hike.  Hay, remember when I said I had chocolate milk?  Well... I didn't check the fat content and this is what happened to my tummy...

Not so much fun!  But I was determined!  I really really wanted to go hiking so I just kind of ignored it.  Eriks and I put on our hiking gear and were ready to go!

The hike wasn't very long, but with my tummy being as big as it was, my energy was totally drained.  So, this hike was perfect for us.  The hike was all up hill to a little lake.

After a very nice hike, we made it to the lake.

My very handsome hiker

It must have been mating season for dragon flys.  It was amazing how many dragon flys there were in the water.  It was very clear that the males were all fighting to mate with the females.  What I thought was really strange was that if a female was mating with a male, the other males would try to drown her while she was doing her thing.  It was very interesting to watch.  After watching for a while, Eriks and I found a very nice and big rock in the shade to have lunch.  After eating, Eriks and I enjoyed a good hour in the shade just relaxing.

On the way back to the car I stole a kiss : )

Once we got back to the car, we decided to head home.  We went back the same way we came mostly just because we wanted to go back to that little store.  This time however I did not get the chocolate milk.  Instead, we got popsicles!  It was really fun because we sat in the grass, ate our popsicles, and played with chickens.  It was so much fun!  I was sharing my popsicle with them!  We also got some suckers to go.  It was a very long ride home because our air conditioner is broken, but no matter wheat we do, we always have fun together!

Krawza Family Reunion Part Three

The Zoo
One of my favorite days was the Minnesota Zoo.  My grandma and my Uncle Kenny and his family went with us.  It was so much fun!

We were so lucky to see the Macaque Baby!  I do have to say that this was one of my favorite parts of the zoo!

We also had the opportunity to see a bird show.  It was really neat because I actually was able to be apart of the show.  The handler had a bird fly to my arm and back.  It was such a cool experience!

So cool!

After the bird show, we all went on a tractor ride to the farm part of the zoo.

Haha!  Grandma being silly with the milking equipment.  I think she was trying to show shock because this was the kind of milking equipment she used as a kid and it was labeled as "antique"

Baby Piggies!

While we were at the zoo, we were able to go to a butterfly exhibit.  Here are my favorite pictures:
The Monarch is Ethan's favorite butterfly, this picture is for him!

Doesn't Andrew look like he is having so much fun looking at butterflies?  Haha what a teenager!

Here are some other fun pictures taken while we were at the zoo

There were lots of babies at the zoo.  I thought the baby camel was really cute!

No matter where he went, this leopard would not stop staring at Ethan.  It was kind of freaking us out.  We were very glad there was a piece of glass between the two of them!

A bear and his trainer

How cute are these lemurs?!

Surprisingly, this was my cousin Megan's favorite part of the zoo

A really cool Colobus Monkey

Pink Flamingo!

A Malayan Tapir

What is that, that freaky thing?
If you really want to know, no, it is not a naked mole rat.  It is a Binturong.

A wolf just for my Daddy (it's his favorite animal!)

A bobcat

We saw a small dolphin show too!

Prairie Dogs!

All of us cousins

Yes, in fact, I AM a child.  Well at least when I am around my brothers :)

It was a great day at the zoo with my FANTASTIC family!

Krawza Family Reunion Part Two

Raspberry Jam
My Grandma Grace has an AMAZING garden. Part of her garden is a huge raspberry bush. Me and Noah had a lot of fun picking berries. As we were out in the garden, Noah and I decided it would be really fun to make some jam. So... Noah and I picked and picked raspberries. Then, my Grandma Grace helped me make Jam. It was so much fun!
And BTW... The jam was really really good!

Mall of America and Lego Land
While in Minnesota, we also went to the Mall of America.  The first thing we did was go to Lego Land.  It was a lot of fun!

After Lego Land, the boys went home and my cousin Holly met up with me and mom.  We went shopping at H&M first.  H&M is one of my most favorite stores!

My Mom and Holly tried on the same dress

I found some Hammer Pants!

We had so much fun at the Mall of America!  We didn't take many pictures because we were shopping but I assure you, we had a great time.  We had lunch at a fun restaurant that was decorated like a hunting lodge.  After lunch, we went and met up with Holly's boyfriend.  He was really nice.

The Lake with Momma's Friends
One of the evenings in Minnesota, we met up with 2 of my momma's friends and their families at a local lake.  We had a BBQ, relaxed in the grass and swam in the lake.
